Are there no editors? For anything?
This book is pissing me off.
I’m reading Fortress of Solitude by Jonathan Lethem, and the first part ends. The next section is a transition to the present (which is 1999, but that’s when the book was written) via CD liner notes to fill in the reader on the back story of a main character.
I get the conceit as liner notes as transition, and I totally love the idea. But 12 pages. TWELVE...
